HAVE A LOOK UP.
CAN YOU SEE IT?
WAY OUT THERE ARE STORIES
LARGER THAN WE CAN IMAGINE.
BODIES THAT WOULD BLACK OUT THE SKY... WE'LL NEVER KNOW THEIR TRUE SIZE OR IF THEY EVEN EXIST UNLESS THERE IS LIGHT.Nothing IS without the light of God.Even the shadows do not exist.Without the light, darkness is simply nothing.Photographers will see things now that future eyes may never see.And people would never know these things existed if we didn't take pictures. And people in the future will be able to look at our snapshots and see things that we couldn't see at the time. And you'd never know these lessons were learned if we didn't continue writing better lessons in light.More than a study of shadow and light, photography is an exploration of existence. An intimacy with the idea of proof.I'm curious about all of your expressions...You know, who are you at this split second, and then at another split second...Don't pose. Just talk to me.This particular eye-to-eye is an entirely different language. What do you really have to say while we have the time?We start as nothing but a fanciful idea. And then we exist. And then we are a memory.Until we exist again, possibly with no memory of the life before...Our very being is but evidence of the power of thought. And our photographs are the footprints left behind. They are reminders that while our experience may have been inspired by ideas not covered with us first, we can't live someone else's life. And we can't truly exist through someone else's mistakes.Or triumphs.Or memories. You have to take your own pictures.Quest with your Spirit in the shadow and light. And make full use of the canvas naturally available. We're all just proof of the universe shifting into and out of the light. And while you're here, my black box will save you.I'm Cambridge Jenkins IV.I'm a MeatLoaf. And I'm a photographer.Enjoy seeing things the way I do...
I'm an author and artist who loves helping people through my digital marketing agency and wellness brands, and I wish to support education, the arts, domestic violence prevention, and Meals on Wheels through my art as much as possible.Your support of my art also supports my ability to create more of it and become better at it.

My moniker, The Meatloaf, is inspired by one of my favorite books of all time, The Mind and the Brain: Neuroplasticity and the Power of Mental Force by Jeffrey M. Schwartz and Sharon Begley.I discovered The Mind and The Brain nearly 20 years ago, but it's still as relevant and as enlightening today as any modern content on the topic, and I recommend you check it out if you're a neuroscience nerd like me.Here's a link to the specific passage that inspires The Meatloaf. We are all meat. And we are all thinking meat and feeling meat and active meat and independent meat - and this fascinates me.

Life is a delicate balance of infinite possibility and inevitable impermanence. It's curious, but frightening, but a little hopeful too.My art represents snapshots of my journey as a body of thinking meat among other bodies of thinking meat. And I am, ultimately, just a MeatLoaf longing to be meaningfully consumed.
